Zaliha Peçe was born in Istanbul in 1979. She graduated from Istanbul University Faculty of Science Biology Department in 2000, and completed the graduate program in 2015. She then got into Fatih Sultan Foundation Univeristy Proficiency in Art Program and continued her education there. She received miniature training from Meral Aşan and Taner Alakuş, painting training at Bingöl Public Education Center in 2010, scientific plant painting training from Hülya Korkmaz at İSMEK Bağlarbaşı Specialization Center between 2010 and 2014.

She worked as an instructor at the courses opened within the university in 2014, and as a master instructor in miniature branch in “1 Master 10 Apprentice” project organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Peçe’s work named “Tolerate” won exhibition prize in the “Tolerance” themed competition organized by İSMEK in 2011, and she won first prize in miniature branch in “From Tradition to Future Turkey Meeting” competition. in 2012. She has been working as a miniature master instructor at Istanbul Classical Arts Center since 2015, and at Turkish Islamic Arts Center within Bayrampaşa Municipality since 2016. She participated in many exhibitions and collections both at home and abroad with her applied works in the field of miniature and plant illustration, along with her academic works. Peçe is still taking part as a plant painter in the project called “Turkey’s Flora of Turkey with Pictures”. İnci Kerim, Şeyma Nur Saral, Sümeyra Şahin, Zeynep Özgür, Gökçe Alpay, Pınar Ketenci, Yasemin Zengi, Ayşe Kiraz, Ayşe Ceylan Güneş, Ayşe Kübra Kahya, Zeliha Yücel, Nihal Özşirin and Merve Sefiloğlu are the students Peçe trained.
