Hatice Ünal was born in Kütahya in 1969. She is a graduate of Anadolu University Open Education Faculty, Public Relations and Philosophy Department. Ünal has been working on painting since her early ages. She took marbling classes from Hikmet Barutçugil, miniature classes from Reza Hemmatirad, illumination classes from Assoc. Prof. Münevver Üçer and calligraphy classes from Ethem Çalışkan. Ünal interpreted the arts of painting on marbling, miniature, illumination and calligraphy in a unique way. The artist has held seven solo exhibitions and has participated in many group exhibitions both at home and abroad. She also won awards in many competitions. Among the students trained by Ünal are Emine Solak, Ayşe Gülcan Özbalak, Fatma Aydin, Öznur Colak, Asiye Yaman, Cansu Cengiz Sahin and Serap Ekşier.
