Nesrin Bahçıvan was born in 1975 in Kınık, İzmir. She graduated from İzmir Kınık High School in 1993. Following her high school education, she studied Tile Decoration at Kütahya Dumlupınar University and completed her associate degree in 2000. After graduation, she completed her internship at Mehmet Gürsoy’s workshop in Kütahya. Throughout her artistic career, she had the opportunity to study and work with master artists Mehmet Gürsoy, Mehmet Koçer, and İsmail Yiğit, and gained professional experience in various tile workshops. She continues her artistic production in the fields of tile art, ceramics, and pottery. Between 2019 and 2025, Bahçıvan worked as a master instructor at the İzmir Kınık Public Education Center, where she taught courses in tile painting, tile decoration (tahrir and traditional tile techniques), marbling (Ebru), and ceramic forming. As of 2025, she continues to teach at the same institution. The artist maintains her own workshop in Kınık, İzmir, and participated in various exhibitions organized by Public Education Centers between 2020 and 2024. She is married and has one child.
