Born in the Sürmene district of Trabzon in 1970, Gürman graduated from Anadolu University, Faculty of Economics, Department of Economics with a bachelor’s degree and from Süleyman Demirel University, Institute of Fine Arts, Department of Traditional Arts with a master’s degree in 2016. In 1993, Gürman started to work as a civil servant in Afyonkarahisar Police Department. In 2000, she took up the art of marbling as a hobby, and improved her skills with the courses she took. Gürman, who applied marbling on different surfaces such as ceramics, canvas, silk and leather and gave them a second life, and also took up painting and miniature arts, participated in many exhibitions in Türkiye and abroad. Gürman, who does research and prepares papers on folk culture and continues to do marbling, is married and has 2 children.
