Calligrapher Cavide Pala completed her undergraduate studies in Turkish Language and Literature at Anadolu University, and her master’s degree in the Department of History and Civilization Studies at Istanbul Sabahattin Zaim University with a thesis titled “An Analysis of Ottoman Period Building Inscriptions in Istanbul in Terms of Calligraphy Art.” In 1996, she received an ijazah (traditional certification) in the thuluth and naskh scripts from master calligrapher Hüseyin Kutlu.
