Ayşe Burcu Özkan was born in 1980 in Konya. She graduated from Başkent University, Department of Turkish Language and Literature, in 2004. She continued her art education and graduated from Dokuz Eylül University, Faculty of Fine Arts, Department of Illumination (Tezhip), in 2013. In 2013, she founded her studio under the name Levnsanat at the Historical Kızlarağası Inn in İzmir, where she continues to produce works and provide education in the field of illumination art. She currently lives and works in İzmir, continuing her artistic practice and teaching activities in tezhip art.
