Saraç graduated from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University, Department of Textile and Fashion Design in 2002, and after ten years of experience in the private sector, she took lessons on wood block printing method from masters in Tokat, Kastamonu and Istanbul. Saraç, who worked as Veliye Martı’s assistant for a while and participated in many exhibitions in Istanbul, Bodrum and Muğla with her artworks, adds contemporary interpretations to the traditional printing method and applies archaeological reflections in her works. Saraç, who continues to teach in various institutions affiliated to the Ministry of National Education, is working on a research project on “Kastamonu’s hand-printed tablecloths from the past”.
