Uçkun, who received two years of rosary beads making training from Necip Fazıl Karadağ in 2013 within the scope of the project carried out by Afyonkarahisar Municipality in order to revive traditional Turkish handicrafts, established her own workshop in 2014. As Türkiye’s first woman rosary bead master, Uçkun makes personalised designs on natural materials and participates in many exhibitions, fairs, festivals and career days, and trains students.
