After her retirement, Şirin, who has been doing oil painting since high school, received two years of marbling training at the Izmir Olgunlaşma Enstitüsü and Bornova Public Education Centre, and three years of marbling training from Özgür Tuncer. Şirin continues to learn and teach the art of marbling, and has opened six solo exhibitions. Şirin, who is a member of various associations and foundations and who voluntarily supports their projects, continues her NGO activities as the President of the Izmir branch of Türk Kadınlar Birliği. Şirin, who interprets traditional, nature-friendly, original and contemporary products that keep the Turkish cultural heritage alive for various areas of use, introduces her works through exhibitions, corporate events, references and personal relationships in Türkiye and abroad. Şirin continues producing marbling and root dye in her workshop in the Yelki village of İzmir.
