İsmaile Taşatan was born in Istanbul in 1980. She is a graduate of Ankara University Theology Faculty. She was introduced to the art of marbling in 2001, and she took her marbling license from Sadreddin Özçimi in 2010. She continued her studies with Alparslan Babaoğlu and in 2015, she took her license on teaching and performing the art of marbling. She has participated in various group exhibitons, and in workshops. Taşatan won awards in marbling branch in many competitions. She continues her marbling works under the supervision of Alparslan Babaoğlu.
