Özlem Ergün was born in Çanakkale in 1972. She is a graduate of Anadolu University Faculty of Economics. She started her training at the marbling courses opened by İzmit Saraybahçe Municipality in 2008, and continued her studies at Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality Fine Arts Education Center, and with Gülseher Kahraman at Kocaeli Governorship Provincial Culture and Tourism Directorate. She took katı’ classes from Ayşe Kiraz at Gebze Municipality Vocational Courses in 2013. Ergün worked as a marbling instructor in Kocaeli International Youth Center; and in 2016, in Komotini and Xanthi cities of Greece, and in Kardzhali city of Bulgaria. She won exhibition prizes in 17^th and 18^th State Turkish Decoration Arts Competition, and participated in many exhibitions in the field of marbling and katı’.
