Vugar Allahverdi oglu Mammadov was born on May 22, 1969, in Azerbaijan. He graduated in 1998 from the Baku Music Academy. Between 2000 and 2015, he served as Vice Principal at Baku Secondary Children’s Music School No. 28. In 2003, he began studying the art of wood carving under Azerbaijani master Seyfeddin Mensimoğlu and also worked with Iranian master Mehdi Tusi. Mammadov has participated in more than 40 international exhibitions. On May 23, 2010, he took part in the event titled “Cultural and Economic Development of the Architectural Heritage of Muslim Republics” held in Riyadh. From 2016 to 2019, he worked as a Master Instructor of Wood Carving at İSMEK. Since 2019, he has continued his work as a Master Instructor at BESMEK (Beyoğlu Municipality Art and Vocational Training Courses) and Ümraniye Municipality Traditional Arts Academy. He is also the founder and director of Ahşabın Zikri Art Workshop. He currently resides in Istanbul and continues his professional activities in the field of wood art as a teacher and master instructor.
