Naciye Dilek Kızış was born in 1986 in Kütahya, Türkiye. Driven by her passion for the art of traditional Turkish tile and ceramics, she studied Ceramics at a vocational girls’ high school, where she began her professional journey through an internship at the workshop of master artist Mehmet Gürsoy. She later graduated from the Ceramics Department of Dumlupınar University and the Ceramics Department of Afyon Kocatepe University, further developing her knowledge and technical skills in the fields of tile and ceramics. Recognized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye as a Bearer of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Kızış continues to practice and promote traditional tile and ceramic arts. She established her own workshop and business, Bufatasanat, in the Nilüfer district of Bursa, where she produces a wide range of works in tile and ceramics. As a master instructor and business owner, she shares her knowledge and experience through educational activities and contributes to the transmission of traditional craft practices to future generations. Kızış continues her artistic practice in her own workshop and participates in various national and international events, presenting her work on different platforms. Through her artistic production and educational activities, she contributes to the preservation and continuation of traditional Turkish tile and ceramic arts. A married mother of two, Kızış continues her work at her workshop in Nilüfer, Bursa, combining traditional techniques with a contemporary approach.
