Born in Bulgaria in 1978, Ekici graduated from Sakarya University, Department of Mechanical Engineering. Ekici, who met the art of tel kırma (decoration method through bending wires) in 2012 in the handicrafts course opened in Kırşehir Belediyesi Aile Yaşam Merkezi (Kırşehir Municipality Family Life Center), has been producing jewellery and accessories through tel kırma since 2018. Ekici is married and has three children.
