Pınar Sondal was born in 1975 in the United States. She graduated from the Department of Architecture at Yıldız Technical University, Faculty of Architecture in 1997. Beginning in 2001, she pursued studies in jewelry and traditional goldsmithing in Istanbul, receiving training in various workshops, notably working with Mehmet Nasuh Ortak. Continuing her practice in the field of jewelry craftsmanship, Sondal founded her own brand, Toosis, and has participated in national and international exhibitions. In 2024, she was recognized as an Intangible Cultural Heritage Bearer in the field of Jewelry Craftsmanship by the General Directorate of Living Heritage and Cultural Activities of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Türkiye. The artist continues her work in her studio located in Kağıthane, Istanbul, where she also trains apprentices and students. In 2025, she participated in the Living Heritage Festival organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism.
