Celal Türksever was born in Istanbul on August 26, 1967. He began his career in jewelry making as an apprentice after completing secondary school. After graduating from Otakçılar High School (Department of Literature) in 1984, he established a jewelry workshop together with his brother Cemal Türksever. He received his Journeyman Certificate in Jewelry (Gold and Silver Craftsmanship) in 1992, followed by his Master Craftsman Certificate in the same field in 2006, and later obtained his Master Instructor Certificate in 2018. Türksever initially specialized in hollow chain production, and over the years expanded his repertoire to include cast rings, earrings, necklaces, and jewelry sets. He began his professional training at the historic Çuhacı Han in the Grand Bazaar, working alongside Necati Elidüzgün, the president of the Jewelers’ Association, and his sons. He later continued production in workshops located in Arnavut Han and Özen Han in Çemberlitaş. He currently continues jewelry manufacturing at his own workshop in Kuyumcukent, Istanbul, while also serving as an Apprenticeship Instructor in the Jewelry and Ornament Production Department at Mustafa Nevzat Pısak Vocational Training Center, where he actively trains apprentices. Türksever participated in the Istanbul Jewellery Fair in 2018. With over forty years of experience in jewelry making, Celal Türksever lives in Istanbul, is married, and is the father of five children.
