Born in Istanbul, Ediz started to work as a master instructor on chenille, which is a style of patchwork, at Kocaeli Gölcük Public Education Centre in 2015. Ediz, who conducted research on tablet weaving, took part in the organising committee of Gölcük Uluslararası Kırkyama Festivali (Gölcük International Patchwork Festival) between 2016 and 2019. Ediz participated in exhibitions in Türkiye, opened solo exhibitions at Creative fairs in Spain, and conducted many workshops, gave tablet weaving trainings at public education centres and online. Ediz received the title of Intangible Cultural Heritage Bearer from the Republic of Türkiye Ministry of Culture and Tourism in 2021.
