Avcu, who started teaching at the carpet - rug weaving workshop opened by the Marmaris Chamber of Tradesmen and Craftsmen in 2016, graduated from Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University Traditional Turkish Handicrafts Associate Degree Program in 2022. Selçuk continues to give courses at the Marmaris Public Education Center.
