Uğur Taş was born in 1964. After completing her high school education, she began working in the fields of tile art, ceramics, and pottery. In 2005, she studied under Nilgün Yılmaz for five years, focusing on tile art and design. She then trained with Nuran Turan for two years at Pendik Art Academy. For four years, she also worked with Kifayet Özkul, with whom she continues to collaborate on various project and exhibition works. In 2024, she opened her own studio under the name Tuba Sanat Tile Workshop, where she continues to create and teach. In 2025, she participated in a workshop held at Sumela Monastery. She has trained many students, including Elif Altıntaş, Ayten Deniz, Yadigar Kaya, Dilek Kiraz, and Zerrin Haşmet. She currently continues her work at her studio located in Tuzla, Istanbul.
